A 7 and 1 homestand and counting. The A's are definitely on a roll
and what better way to celebrate the end of school and the coming of
summer but at a Green Stampede Tailgate party. Tonight at 5:30, The
Green Stampede (with Liquid Sound DJs) will help the A's get a sweep
of the visiting Cinncinatti Reds. All of your favorite food and

Special thanks to Detra Paige, Warren Chu, and Sharon of the Community
Relations Department for sponsoring another semester of The Green
Stampede Homework Club. Also thanks to Mark Kotsay for taking the
time to visit with the students, sign autographs and take pictures,
and speak about his passion for academics as well as athletics. He
was a true gentleman and ambassador for the A's. Mark also had two
hits last night...

Thanks to all of the tutors and students for giving up their time and
energy. Special thanks to Melissa, Jorge, Cesar, Natalie, Keith,
Rodney, Maria, Valeria, Eryn, Melia, Eduardo, and Claudia for all of
their hard work. Congratulations to Edgar Pena and Nghia Tran for
scoring the most points at the homework club. Both scholars won gift
certificates to Old Navy.

Finally, thanks to the two Ken Griffey Fans from Idaho who came to
watch the Reds this week. They were sitting in our section 145 last
night and donated $100 on the spot in order to buy the students ice
cream and tickets for today's game. Even though they were rooting
against the A's, they showed a committment to the community and a
dedicated spirit. Thanks again!
