Chris,
How are you today? I hope all is well.
At long last, my entry into the "Old Spice" contest is online! This is the
contest that I participated in at Ricky's a few months ago, where I had to
sing, "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" while standing in a shower!
My clip is now online at the Old Spice website. Please spread the word to
your fellow Green Stampede members to cast a vote for me...I'm now competing
against other participants from across the country.
All the details are listed below. Thanks so much for all your help!
Yours,
Ken 510-336-0925

"how i spent my summer"
hello all,
guess what i did? i entered a contest at my ricky's sports bar,
sponsored
by fox sports net, that was actually being conducted at sports bars all
across the
country.
and you know what? I WON! at least, i won the preliminary
local competition. for the national prize, i need your help:
go to
http://www.oldspice.com and click on the picture of the blond girl
that says, "let's lather up!". you'll then be taken to a website where
you'll see two pictures of a couple of guys. underneath one of the guys is
the word "vote". click on that word.
scroll down and you'll see a picture of me, george (listed as "oakland -
george"). you'll also see the word "vote" underneath my picture. please
click on that word to submit a
vote for me!
you can also click on the word "listen" to hear my entry.
whichever of the contestants receives the most votes will receive an
all-expenses-paid trip to los angeles and a featured appearance on fox's
"best damn sports show". the other contestants are from sports bars from
various cities across the country, but everyone knows that oaktown flavah is
what america wants to see!
for winning my local contest, an expanded clip of me and the blond girl
will appear on a tv commercial during an oakland a's baseball game on our
local fox sports net station on august 21st. i also won 4 home
plate seats to an upcoming a's game, too.
so, if you can look past the alluring, compelling visual of my clip, then
please
vote for me! and spread the word to your friends and coworkers, too! i
ain't too proud to beg!
"american idol" ballot stuffing is not permitted on the website....it'll
only allow you to vote once per internet address. but, you can vote from
your job's computer and from your home computer. and if you have several aol
usernames, you can cast a vote from each one.
thanks,
ken "even simon cowell says vote for me" webb
