Great job by Barry Zito today in shutting down Roger Clemans and the
Yankees 2-0 today in the Bronx. This sets up a great homestand starting off
with three Green Stampede events.
On Tuesday May 6, will be our 5th tutoring session of the season. It has been
going extremely well and thanks to all of the students and volunteers for
making it a success.
On Wednesday May 7 will be The Green Stampede's second tailgate party of
the year. Thanks to Liquid Sound Productions as usual for the music and
Pringle meats for giving us a great deal on the BBQ. Party begins at 5:00 PM,
game time is 7:05. Please be advised that the Oakland Police will be in full
force in the parking lots so please be careful and don't "over celebrate" an
assured A's victory over the White Sox. Also be advised that you must be 21
to drink alcoholic beverages at all Stampede events.
On Thursday May 8 will be the first "on-air" production of A's Fan Radio live
from La Estrellita Restaurant on 5th Avenue and E12th Street in Downtown
Oakland (near Laney College) 9 PM to 11 PM heard exclusively on:
http://www.asfanradio.com
This show is for A's fans, by A's fans and our guest this week will be dedicated
Left Field Bleacher supporter and A's fan beat writer for the online newspaper
San Francisco Gate - Ms. Catherine Howard.
Also in attendance will be self espoused Yankee-fan Jose "Black Hole
Bastard" Rodriguez who will pay up his bet of filling out 250 All Star Ballots
for
Ramon Hernandez because he doubted that the A's would win the seies in
the Bronx. Hope everyone has a great week and hope to see you at the
games. Go A's!
