Hello,

Despite some initial showers and some strong winds, the first Green Stampede
tailgate party was a
huge success. There was over 150 people who braved the weather to hear the
great sounds of Liquid
Sound DJs and to eat some of the great food and beverages at the tailgate party.

This tailgate party was the first of the year, so check the web site for the
remaining ones. May 7
against the White Sox is the next one.

There are many people who made the event a success. Special thanks to Pringle
Meats in Oakland,
Texas Roadhouse in Union City, and Chilis of Union CIty. Also thanks to the
brothers of Delta Chi at
Cal State Hayward for providing the beverages.

Tailgate Coordinators Dean and Cathy put the whole operation together so special
thanks to them. In
addition, Vicky Bullard spent an inordinate amount of time in putting together
the new banner. Also,
thanks to J-Lee, John, Matt, Sean, Sessie, Claudia, Natalie, Mark, Bouie,
Jerveece, Cyndi, Jeanette,
