HI EVERYONE!
I am a native San Franciscan, and a 100% devoted San Francisco Giants
fan. I have read all of your personal experiences with the great
Bill Mueller, and I thought I could share one of my own. As you can
probably tell by my membership name I first met Bill Mueller at
Olympic Stadium in Montreal. As all of you baseball fans know, the
Expos don't have a huge fan base, so it's not too difficult to get
great seats for a cheap price. My father and I took our seats in the
first row on the thrid base line. Now I'll be honest, at the the
time I was only 12 years old, and although I was a huge Giants fan I
didn't know who Bill Mueller was :0. Before I saw him, I was the
only person in the park beging the Giants for their autographs, but
as I watched the Giants train I couldn't take my eyes off of the
fabulous defensive skills of Bill Mueller. I began chearing his name
and filling the stadium with the only comotion it as heard in over 5
years (Sorry to those who are Montreal fans.) Anyway, astonished
that this little girl in Montreal knew who he was, he stuck a
baseball in his back pocket for me and brought it to me when he was
done practicing. He not only acknowledged me, but asked me where I
was from(when I told him I was from San Francsico he laughed and gave
me a hug, thanking me and my father for being the only two Giant
supporters), and told me that he would go out and win the game for
me. I know, extremely sappy, but he's a great guy, as you all know,
and not to mention is a fabulous baseball player. Enough of the
Bonds, Giambi and Sosa hype! Give me a player who will show great
devotion to the game and give a fabulous performance wherever he
plays. I couldn't think of a better candidate than Bill Mueller.
Anyway, thanks to whoever read this long message, it's because I'm
new that I wrote this much, I promise. I have only been able to
follow Billy through newspapers because my television is busted, but
if any of you can update me on information about him that wouldn't be
in the paper, or just want to talk about what's up in his career,
trust me, I'll have more to say than this (hehe).
