They just traded Ochoa to the reds for some no-names too. I think another
pitcher and a player to be named later, but I'm not sure. At least they still
have Geoff and Burnitz.
Sorry, I haven't been in here lately. The Brewers
have made some big trades so far this offseason. They
just traded Cal Eldred and Jose Valentin for Jaime
Navarro and John Snyder. This trade could be a lot better
than it sounds, not because of who the Brewers got,
but who they got rid of and the $1million they saved.
I'd have to say that I do too. Any particular
reason? Anyways--now that Geoff is my favorite player
now, since Cirillo is gone, maybe this'll be more
exciting. That was the worst move I've seen in a long time
if I must say.
you wouldn't think that they would give up. They are playing for pride right
now and some should be playing to for a chance to up their trad status or a
chance to start.
I was at the game on Sunday and it was exciting.
Too bad the Brewers lost, but I saw Jenkins' 21st
home run. It was a bomb! I sat right by the Brewers
bullpen. I asked Bob Wickman if I could have a baseball
and he gave me one. I got him and Mike Myers to sign
it.
You should've sat in the left field bleachers. Twice Geoff threw a ball into
them after he finished warming up between innings. I was so close to getting
one.
At the beginning of the season, the Brewers
didn't know how Jenkins's defense would hold up in left
field. His defense has been awesome all season,
especially last night. He had two outfield assists,
including one that was part of a double play.
Geoff should have been moved up in the order earlier in the season. But what is
with moving Cirillo all the way down to seventh? The Brewers definitely need
some relief pitching.
Geoff got moved up to third in the batting order
last night and went 2-for-4 with a double. He's not
hitting home runs and hasn't hit one in awhile, but he
keeps getting hits. If the rest of the lineup could
start getting some hits the Brewers would be winning
some games. They're getting decent starting pitching
on most days, but they aren't scoring runs like they
were earlier in the season.
What happened to the Brewers offense? They've
been shut out two games in a row. They're finally
getting some decent starting pitching, but you can't win
if you don't score runs. Maybe getting Burnitz and
Vina back will help.
Hey! I want to know your opinions on Geoff. And let me know if you've never
even heard of him because I guarantee you'll be hearing his name a lot for many
years to come.
