Hello Everyone!!
My name is Tracey and I"m new here!! I've been a Leaf fan for pretty much my
whole life and have been very fortunate for the last 5 years in living in St.
John's, Newfoundland where I've had the opportunity to see the St. John's Leafs
play and have gotten the opportunity to meet the up and coming NHL stars for the
Leafs!!

We have a bit of a problem facing us in St. John's after the 2004-05 hockey
season. The St. John's Maple Leafs, who are the farm team to the Toronto Maple
Leafs may be leaving town!! St. John's is one of the oldest franchises in
American Hockey League history and the Leafs have done so much for our
community. Not only by bringing some great hockey to our province, they've put
us on the map and have created numerous jobs that will be lost if they leave.

The negotiations had been going really well between St. John's and Richard
Peddie of Toronto Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment, however it seems to have
taken a turn for the worse, as Mr. Peddie has released to the media that the
talks have gone downhill. I'm personally not a big fan of Mr. Peddie and the
horrible things he's been saying about St. John's and the fans and team are
getting to be a bit much.

We have put together a petition that we intend on presenting to Richard Peddie
when he finally gets the nerve to come to St. John's for his negotiations later
in the year. You're support would be greatly appreciated!! You can read the
