Well if the Cards win tonight and knock the Cubs to 4th place and 4 games back
this weekend becomes even more important. With only a 3 games with St Louis
after the All Star Game they don't have many chances to gain on them head to
head. Dropping 6-7 games back by getting beat this weekend would not be good.

I was really hoping the return of Ramirez and to a lesser degree Johnson would
spark this team, but that may not be possible. I don't see anything turning this
team around. They just can not seem to be able to get it together at all right
now. I am so tired of the good pitching NO HITTING games I could scream, and
often do. I hope the second half improves but I really don't have much hope
right now. There is no reason for this team to be this bad so I see no answers
to fixing it, it will just either happen or not.
