Re: [The Cubhouse] Cubs let Grudz, Walker, Martinez, Clement and Alou go; will try to resign Rusch

I think every cubs fan would like to see Beltran wearing Blue next
year, but I certainly wouldn't deprive Corey of center field after
the spectacular year he's had defensively. The Gold glove award
winners were announced recently and sadly Corey didn't get his
first... He did have a great year nonetheless. Only 1 error with
324 putouts and 8 outfield assists. Beltran is a very good fielder
too, with a much tougher center field to handle this past year, but
you can't compare his 8 errors to Corey's 1. I would really like to
see him in right, where maybe he can use his strong arm to keep guys
from going from first to third (EVERYONE ran on sosa last year it
seemed). Finally, I just think it is important to keep Corey happy
by giving him the honor of center field over any new guy, seeing as
Corey is a large part of the future of the cubs.
