I have yet to see a Cubs pitcher not mad about
Acosta being fired. As such, I am reconsidering my first
impression that I wasn't upset to see him go.<br><br>I still
don't think he had too much to do with the Cubs
pitching success this year. But there's no reason to think
that he didn't have at least some positive impact. And
the pitchers are certainly giving him credit. And
apparently have much more respect for him than for
Baylor.<br><br>--Jason<br><a href=http://steffens.topcities.com/cubslinks.html

chicago after next season. That scares me. If things arent patched up next season then id rather see them fire Baylor then to have him coach a pitching staff...
a serious run at it before his career is over. Heck he's still alot younger then either Barry or Mark was when they did it. I just wonder how many Sammy would...
I am already reassessing the Cubs chances for 2002, and given the events of this week, I cannot, at this time, see the Cubs finishing above .500 next season,...
I have created a new club called "Fire Don Baylor Now." I invite all of you to join. This club will reamin active as long as Don Baylor is manager of the ...
as you think they might be then one good thing that will come out of it will be Baylor getting his pink slip. I just cant picture Baylor and Hindery working...
cubs go back to being a sub.500 4th or 5th place team. He's pretty much hinted at it during interviews last spring. That would be a monumental lost for this...
Kerry Wood will not be an unrestricted free agent for 3 more years, but you are right. Why should he stay if he doesn't believe the situation is ever going to...
Apples and oranges.<br><br>True, several members of the 1984 Cubs had career years. That in itself tells you that they're going to come down to earth the next...
If you look at where the oranization is headed as whole, things have changed for the better since Maddux left. Kerry Wood has been a big part of that effort to...

Barry did it with hitting 72 I predict he may finish with 75 maybe but I get the feeling 60 Hrs will be a thing that most players will hit, and 70 will be like...
what Baylor did. I think Gary Matthews Jr. is probably never gonna bat in the .300 range but I think he will be a 25 hr. guy with .260 batting avg. as a matter...
I agree. I wasnt a big Matthews fan at the beginning of the year and i was really disapointed in him when all of a sudden after the allstar break when he ...
ML baseball losing one of its finest players and human beings tomorrow. I can still remember that line drive one hopper that he hit against us in the 84 ...
him our 5th starter. Just a thought. He deserves to be resigned. And if Chiason or Zambrano make the squad as relievers then id give Todd a chance to start ...
Why isn't he getting the start tomorrow? He was skipped so that Lieber could get a shot at 20, he got it. He won't be back next season, he might decide to ...
