Dig for Kids Foundation Celebrates summer
Eric Fonoimoana's Dig For Kids foundation starts the summer
celebrations with a bachelor and bachelorette auction at the Sangria
restaurant on Thursday, April 25. Dig for Kids funds volleyball
programs for inner city kids. Fonoimoana formed the foundation after
winning the beach volleyball gold medal with Dane Blanton at the
Sydney Olympics. A fashion show by High Five Boutique, a silent
auction, music hors d'oeuvres and door prizes will also be featured
at the fundraiser. Tickets are $50 ($75 at the door) and may be
purchased at Sangria or High Five Boutique at 53 Pier Ave. Hermosa

Basketball camps
Dave Miller, a 17-year NCAA coaching veteran, is offering summer
basketball camps this summer in June, July and August. The sessions
are open to boys and girls ages 4 to 13 and cost $250 per week. To

2002 AVP Tour
The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) returns to
Huntington Beach, CA for the first of seven stops on the 2002 AVP
tour when the worlds premier men's and women's beach volleyball
players compete in the Huntington Beach Open on May 24-26. The event
will feature 48 teams of the world's best athletes in competition for
their share of over $1 million in AVP tour prize money. The complete
