Julie, your report on Cherokee is yet another that inspires me to keep
trying.
I'm still sorting through and digesting all the clicker information,
comparing it to what I've been taught over the years, using it to filter it
with all the other input I get regularly, and figuring out how to integrate
it into what we "normally" do with our horses. (If ever I figure out a way
to clicker train while foxhunting, I'll post that, assuming I'm still
invovled in that horse sport!) Thank goodness it's a step-by-step process.
Maybe some day Cherokee can return to a distracting environment (if you even
want her to) and still be the kind, responsive, well-trained horse you are
making her into. And if not, no loss, really.
Thanks for giving me something to "listen to."
