To all my buddies (and virtual buddies!),

As you may or may not know I am very involved with a local charity
named The Royal Sovereign and Imperial Court of the Alamo Empire, Inc.
We are a 501c3 charity and in these economic times it is very
difficult to raise money needed to donate back to those who are in
need. This will NOT cost you a thing but if we are a recipient will
help so many people in our community.

Chase is giving away $5 million to local charities through FaceBook.
Each user gets 20 votes to vote for the 20 charities they think should
get the money. I checked it out and found this AP news article on it:

I found out this morning the Alamo Empire is on the list of local San
Antonio charities that people can vote for!!! So, please go to our web
page, scroll to the bottom and click on the Chase logo to vote for the
Alamo Empire!!!

I keep splashing cold water on my face thinking that losing Ashley, Mona, then Wanda was all a dream; and that I am going to wake-up and it will all be okay. I do know they are gone but their presence on this earth was so strong and so meaningful that it feels like they are still here; and indeed will live-on in our hearts forever.   I want to thank everyone who joined us this past Sunday for the "Celebration of Life" for Empress IX, Wanda Carlyle Bouvier. A huge thank you to Jill and her staff at Bermuda Triangle for opening the Club to us on a Sunday, and for all the love and support they continually show us. It was an honor to have TGRA present the Colors; and I can never say enough thank yous to my special angel, DJ Kidd for donating her time and talents once again with our music, lighting and sound. I believe I saw Lisa running the spot light and as always Lisa you are front and center when we need you!   Thank you to all who came from out of town; Corpus and Austin.....I hardly recognized my fellow Empresses in shirts and ties but they were mighty handsome and their presence was greatly appreciated...they even performed in boy clothes....I am sure Wanda was so proud....you all are awesome....and it was good to see the "real men" you brought with you as well!!!! It was so great to get to know Wanda's niece Kris and her partner Arlene who drove all the way from Missouri....they now have a home here and I hope they come back very soon!!!!   To my four angels from Corpus who cooked and cooked, drank  a few shots then cooked some more....you never cease to amaze me and please know I love you very much.....Shane, Joe, Nelda and Laura; may God bless you for all you do for so many! Of course my dear sister Lola Marie St. John Bouvier....and the cutest butt in Texas...Boom Boom...we have been through alot these past few months; when things get tough, the tough get going.....and that certainly describes you two. Solid as a rock and always by my side in good times and bad. Lola your tribute was beautiful and you are an amazing emcee; now you with SoFonda....THAT was incredible....you two are amazing!!!   Finally to His Majesty, Emperor IX, Christopher Loren Hoffman. Making that phone call to you that day was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Please know your Alamo Empire family is right here for you anytime for anything. We look forward to your Ten Year Anniversary Walk at Coronation and you know Wanda will be right there in spirit; and I am sure your tribute to her will be beautiful.   Thanks to all of the performers who came from near and far, and to the members from TGRA who came to support us. We raised a total of $740 which will be divided equally between the Alamo Empire and TGRA. SoFonda said it so well when she said we had lost a pillar in our community and it is time for others to step-up and get more involved and take over where Wanda left off. Wanda herself would tell you.....The golden opportunity you are seeking is in yourself. After a hard year of working towards my goal, I have finally completed that
journey and started on the next. I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone
that has been there for me, our charities and for TGRA along the way.
Together we have raised alot of money, and made alot of new friends along
the way. I ask for your continued support thru the coming year, so that WE
can promote gay rodeo, help those who can't help themselves, and have fun
along the way. I am so proud to call each of you my friend and family. If I
can be of help to anyone in your efforts toward fundraising, please dont
hesitate to ask. Jeff if you would please forward to the UCLSE I would
appreciate it.

Due to state meeting and the celebration of life for Ben Voris aka Wanda
Bouvier. TGRA will not be doing hamburgers at the Pegasus this evening. It is my
understanding that we could not get anyone to take our place, so the Pegasus is
going to handle things today.

Hope all is good with all. Also remember about the Celebration of Life for
"Wanda". It is today at Bermuda Triangle starting at  2pm. TGRA is doing the
color guard for this. If you are planning on coming, please wear (if you have
one) a white shirt or red with TGRA logo on it.  It would be really great to see
TGRA there as well as Alamo Empire. She was a major part of both.
