I would like to send a very public thanks to the three wonderful Tet
instructors who ventured to the wilds of New Mexico this past week.
Tallie Stettinius, Suzanne Stettinius and Ben Sacksen braved the
heat, the altitude, and a multitude of little girls (12 D campers 8-
12 years old) and 8 helpers (older Ds and Cs)and provided our Pony
Club with an exceptional Tet experience. Our "littles" said they
wanted a tet camp, but they didn't want to swim or run - maybe shoot
a bit - and lots of riding. No way! Our instructors had them run,
ride, shoot and swim every day - and on Saturday, they put on a
rally for us. All of the kids completed every phase - and we even
qualified 4 for Championships! THey had those girls doing things
they didn't think they had in them. Their enthusiasm and energy
were infectious - right down to the water balloons at the awards
ceremony. They were fun and flexible (they said we fed them well,
too!)and now we have a goodly number of Tet converts up here.

Thanks for sending them! we want them back!
