Sue,
We have Crossmans which have the cheapest model for the club to use.
It is a pump which is great as there are no CO2 canisters but they are
heavy and difficult for the little kids to pump. The other problem we
ran into with these guns is that if the pellet is put in upside down,
they are very hard to remove. Buy a cleaning rod for your gun so you
have something to remove these misloaded pellets with. By the end of
last year's rally, we had 4 or 5 guns out of commission for lack of a
rod.
My daughter uses a Webley and Scott, model Tempest (we bought it from a
coworker who did competition shooting). Ours is a pump but it pumps
differently than the crossman, single pump. The cost starts going up
pretty quick though. My feeling is that the cost is worth it if the
kids are into it. If the gun only comes out a couple times of year for
the rally and aren't cleaned/ cared for well, the Crossmans (~$55-60)
fill the need.

Sue,
I do know that the kids in our group used Beemans and they were light
weight. I think that they were pump, but don't quote me, as I am
looking on e-bay right now and only seeing co-2 ones. They are quite
accurate.
Hope this helps you.
Kristen
If I get more info I will send it.

Hi!
I'm looking for information on air pistols. What's your favorite,
why, is compressed air better than pump, are lighter ones available--
that sort of thing. I'd appreciate any discussion--
Thanks!
Sue
