I am looking for someone to hit balls with, male or female, for fun. I
am a 3. Thing is I can only play
at the Diamond Park tennis court on Quince Orchard Blvd. Email if
anyone is interested. Thank you. Brad
For any one who may be interested, please see the attached flyer for the Gaithersburg City Tennis League. It is relatively cheap, outdoor tennis that you schedule on your own time with the person you are assigned to play against each week.
League play starts April 31st and registration is due by April 18th.

Hi all,
For those of you new to Tennis-4-Fun,
Welcome. For those of you who have been with Tennis-4-Fun for a while, I hope this will be a welcome back.
In order to get the group started for the spring/summer, Tennis-4-Fun will have the it's first tennis social on Saturday, April 21st at 9 am until ??. The tennis social will be at the new Clarksburg High School on Rt. 355 about 2 miles north of Milestone in Germantown (better directions to be sent later). Rain date will be Sunday, April 22nd. Look for the signs to find the group.
We will try to have several socials this summer and the location will move around depending on interest.
In order to get the group started again, I will try to get us set up in tennisengine.com to record matches played in order to generate a ladder. However, I won't do this until I see at least a little bit of email traffic with people interested in playing matches.
For those of you new to the group, the way it has
worked in the past is you simply send out an email asking for anyone interested in playing on a given day/time in a given area and see who responds and then meet and play. It's a great way to find a pick up game with others at your level and skill. The social is a great way to get out and meet others to set up future match play.
If you have any questions, please feel free to write to me or even send a general comment out to the group.
If you are interested in joining us on April 21st, send me a note, so I know how many courts to try to hold. (there are 8 courts and most are generally empty in the morning) If there is interest from the group, we can either order pizza to the court or go out for lunch after tennis play.
I hope to see everyone out on the court. The weather is getting nice, dust off your racquet and get out there swinging.

I just joined this group yesterday. I'm a 35 year old male living in Silver Spring... near the border of Takoma Park. I played on the tennis team in high school, and have played recreationally on and off since then. I haven't played on a regular basis for several years though, while I've been pursuing other interests. I've been looking to get back into it though. This past Spring, I met someone right in my neighborhood who was also interested in getting back into the sport. We are the same age and exactly the same skill level. A perfect match! Well, as often happens here in DC, he and his wife moved out of the area last month for a job opportunity.
So I'm back at square one... hoping to find another tennis partner nearby who's roughly at the same skill level. I'm not USTA rated or anything. But I'd say I'm a solid intermediate level player. I have a consistent ground stroke, and after serving a few hoppers full of balls I'm sure my serve will come right back to me. Right now I'm just looking for someone to hit the ball around with and play a few casual games. I'm in it more for the exercise and the fun than for competitive reasons at this point. Maybe a year from now I'll be ready to play in a local tournament. Anyway, if there's anyone out there who is interested in playing with someone at my level... or if you know of anyone who might be... I'd love to hear from you.
Group,
There are several spaces left for this party. Adarna cooks quite an
excellent spread. The cost for 2 hours of tennis, food, drink, and
socialization is well worth it. Hope to see you there!

My wife and I are looking for a couple to play with on Monday nights
in the fall before it gets too cold. We would like to set up a weekly
things at like 6:30 in the rockville area. We are open to playing
singles and or doubles mixing things up. We would like the couple to
both be intermediate. I am like a 4.0-3.5 my wife is probably a 2.5-
3.0. Please let me know if there is any couple or if you are a single
and we might be able to find a fourth that is fine too my wife and I
do not necessarily have to play with each other we have been playing
on the opposite side of the court for so long that it would not matter.

Dear Family and Friends,
Please sponsor me as I walk in the 20th Anniversary AIDS Walk on
Saturday, September 9 at Volunteer Park in Seattle. Your
contribution will help me raise support and awareness for Lifelong
AIDS Alliance and people living with HIV/AIDS in Seattle/King
County.
Lifelong improves the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS by
connecting people with medical providers, helping navigate the maze
of health insurance, providing healthy prepared meals and groceries
to eat, or finding a place to live for someone who does not have
one.
They become partners in care and remain supporters for life.
By making a contribution to sponsor me, you will help change
thousands of people's lives touched by HIV/AIDS. You are remembering
those who would otherwise be forgotten. Thank you for making a
difference.
Sincerely,
Inbar Gazit

Do any one participate in this group any more. People used to play at
onley on saturday mornings and at cabin john on tuesday and thursday.
I try and play more on Saturday mornings if people will show up more.
My wife will be with me and we will be hitting but we would love to
split up and play with other people.

I just moved from Chicago to D.C. area. Like to play regularly,
probably twice a week. I play at beginner to intermediate level. I
live at Parkside condo area. If someone likes to play at Tilden middle
school tennis court(it has light), that's perfect for me. male is
preferred. thanks!
