It looks like the weather will be OK for the Saturday July 12 Social to be held from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm at the six outdoor tennis courts at Fairland Regional Park, 3928 Greencastle Rd. Burtonsville, MD, if nobody beats us to the courts.

The Social is FREE. Non-CTL members, Kids and Eaters Only welcome. Balls, food and drinks will be provided. Chinese food and pizza around 11:30!

So far, 39 players have signed up but they are coming at different times so there is room for more. But there will probably be some waiting to play between 9:00 and 11:00. So if you can, please sign up for 11:00 or later or even 7:00 or 7:30 am!

It looks like the weather will be ok but perhaps a little breezy (see http://tennfest.com/weather.html) for the Oct 13 Social to be held from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm at the six outdoor tennis courts at Fairland Regional Park, 3928 Greencastle Rd. Burtonsville, MD.

**If you have to wait you may want to warm up by hitting volleys. The players that hit the most volleys in a row get to split 6 cans of tennis balls! And hitting volleys might be more fun than playing.

I am looking for 3 or 4 ladies who play at the 3.5 level, for our women
combo 6.5 team in the fall (middle Sept - mid Dec 2007).  Team match
consists of 3 doubles, with pair whose rating sums to 6.5 or less.

I have mostly 3.0 players and need a few 3.5 players to make the match
more competitive.

The team will have team practices and drills with a pro.

If anyone is interested in WTT please let me know.

The league is playing on Sunday from 5-7 pm at Broome Athletic Park in Rockville (on Twinbrooke Parkway). It is a 3.0 USTA rated league. There is a 3.5 league that plays at 6pm at Wood Middle School if anyone is interested.

We need both women and men to fill some of the teams. My team needs at least one more woman, but preferably 2.

I really need someone to sub for me this next Sunday (7/15), so if you want to come out and see what WTT is about before making the committment, I can use the sub.

Hope everyone is getting out on the courts.

Hi there... is there anyone in the Silver Spring/Bethesda or other close-in areas of Montgomery County who is interested in just hitting the ball around at some point on Saturday? Late morning/early afternoon timeframe? I'm just looking to work on some ground strokes and get in some exercise. Nothing competitive. I'm 36, average skill level (played in high school but that's it). There are some nice courts near my house along Sligo Creek Parkway, but I have a car and can also travel around the area.

Take 270 North to ext 16

Take 27 (Ridge Rd) East to 355

High school and courts are on your left

Parking is in front of the high school, the courts are in the back (you will have to walk around the school, there is no parking right next to the courts...consider the walk, a warm up)

Just a reminder that we will have the first tennis4fun spring social
on April 21 st at 9 am until ?? at Clarksburg High School tennis
courts. So far, we have about a dozen people who have confirmed that
they will be there. It's a great chance to come out and meet some
new people and find others to play tennis. All levels are welcome,
we have some beginners and some advanced players coming out.

I'll send out directions next week.

See you on the courts!!! Here's to warmer weather!

However, you must be a CTL member ($10 per household per year and you get a free t-shirt!) to play on the CTL Ladders.
