Hi all,

For those of you new to Tennis-4-Fun, Welcome. For those of you who
have been with Tennis-4-Fun for a while, I hope this will be a
welcome back.

In order to get the group started for the spring/summer, Tennis-4-Fun
will have the it's first tennis social on Saturday, April 21st at 9
am until ??. The tennis social will be at the new Clarksburg High
School on Rt. 355 about 2 miles north of Milestone in Germantown
(better directions to be sent later). Rain date will be Sunday,
April 22nd. Look for the signs to find the group.

We will try to have several socials this summer and the location will
move around depending on interest.

In order to get the group started again, I will try to get us set up
in tennisengine.com to record matches played in order to generate a
ladder. However, I won't do this until I see at least a little bit
of email traffic with people interested in playing matches.

For those of you new to the group, the way it has worked in the past
is you simply send out an email asking for anyone interested in
playing on a given day/time in a given area and see who responds and
then meet and play. It's a great way to find a pick up game with
others at your level and skill. The social is a great way to get out
and meet others to set up future match play.

If you have any questions, please feel free to write to me or even
send a general comment out to the group.

If you are interested in joining us on April 21st, send me a note, so
I know how many courts to try to hold. (there are 8 courts and most
are generally empty in the morning) If there is interest from the
group, we can either order pizza to the court or go out for lunch
after tennis play.

I hope to see everyone out on the court. The weather is getting
nice, dust off your racquet and get out there swinging.
