Oh dang! I saw the race date and was bummed.
The 12 hours of Humboldt and the 12 hours of Weaverville are incredible races!
I wish I could join ya’ll for the Humboldt race but it’s a week
before the 24 hour race and with the little training I’ve had this year,
it would just be a bad idea for me to race a 12 hour that weekend. D’oh! The
Bigfoot races are some of the very best and have always been my favorites.
ARG!!! Oh well.
Isais, just count yourself lucky I won’t
be there to whoop on ya! :-D
I wonder what the new trails are like..?
Hey Tim, did you guys finally incorporate the jump trail, or what? Hehe..

more Humboldt races....12 HRs of it
Vic is
still involved. He's is the only one who will step up and put together events
like this in the area. I don't think he's really making any money off his
events, in fact some of them go into the red. He's certainly not getting rich
off them. I believe he does it for the love of the sport.
All the new trail we've built is single track and Vic has incorporated
as much of it into his course as possible. Next year will be the best yet when
the newest section is ready to ride.
Ride on!

It's been like 3 years since I've done this race. I've
got great
memories of the trails, people and promoters...
climbing and some sweet little singletrack
sections. Somethink like
1200ft or so per lap. A lot of fun.
I'm debatting one last trip to downieville or
12HRs of Humboldt....
a bit conflicted ;-)
Is Vic still involved?
