Greetings,,, Hope everyone;s training is going well,,, i need like one more
long rn,,, 20 miler to be 100% ready or at least as ready as i think I need to
be,, if that makes any sense!!
My Wife and daughter were asking if anyone has any Super Secret insider spots to
view the Half or the Marathon from,,,all i can really find is that locations
that Disney lists on their web site,,,, Mark
Hi Robyn,
I have heard the race will start at 10 pm and the post race party will go to
2am(which is tentative). Not much time for a party for slower people like
myself.
ToT has always charged for non runners. EEC does the same thing as does
Princess. I believe this will be the trend of all races. I think that's why
they got rid of RFTT and replaced with new Half marathon.
My guess is that Wine & Dine Half will be $140-$150 to enter.
Thanks,
Robert

Hey Robert - having run the Tower of Terror three weeks ago, I was unaware
of the ticketed post-race party. ToT was free to runners and $30 for friends
and family. When did this happen and will we see it at all the endurance
events or just the big ones? Any insider tidbits you can share about the
wine and dine 1/2 marathon for next year? After the night run of ToT I am
having a hard time containing myself until Monday when the information is
officially released. Thanks -
Robyn

Well like less than 60 days to the Marathon !! and the Goofy Challenge ,,, do I
read their E-mail right ??,, as there is no Post Race Party at Downtown,,, only
a PAY event at Hollywood studios ???
My target for the Goofy is a 2 1/2 hour half marathon, and a 5 hour Marathon,,,
I am basing this on a recent 1/2 Marathon in 2:04 and 2:10 - the 2:10 was a
TRAIL RUN,,,, and it was even worse than that ! So - I am thinking SUPER slow
for the 1/2 and then what I am training to my NORMAL (chubby Guy) 10 min per
mile pace,,,, anyone using a different plan,,, and I have been soaking in an ICE
cold tub after my long runs ,, that seems to help the recovery ,,,,or perhaps
it's all in my head !!

Hi Mark,
Yes, Disney has gotten rid of the "free" post race celebration. You now have
to pay. They announced this several months ago. I will be skipping it. Sad
if you are an AP'er(like me), you have to pay to get into the park without
any discount being considered.
My PT got me into ice baths after LSD after my 2 left knee surgeries last
year. I do 20 minutes. Tough but does make a huge difference.
Thanks,
Robert
