After completing the Disney Marathon in 2009, my 5th overall,,,

I foolishly registered for the Goofy Challenge in 2010... i know it is early
to be too concerned abut specific training for this event,, but are there
strategies that anyone who has run employed ? and how did they work???

My initial thought is to run the 1/2 on Saturday,,
VERY slowly,,, normally a 1/2 for me is between 1:45
and 2 hours,,, so I am thinking 2 and 1/2 hours,,,
then TOTAL rest for the remainder of Saturday,
and Max hydration for the Marathon the next day.,...

I am very used to running back to back days,,,
but obviously Not at these distances,,,

thanks for your help and advice .,........... Mark
