I did my first half at WDW in 2007. I think. Anyway. got there on
Wednesday night, rented a convertible and at 1am we were driving with the
top down. Beautiful weather. 65 degrees. Saturday morning it was 36
degrees at race time. Froze my tail off. So you never know what the
weather will be down there in January.

I'm skipping disney this year, but the Hidgon plan worked for my club
friends and me as well. I do hope to stop by the expo though!
I still don't understand the issue with Chicago....down here in Florida, I
trained for Chicago 2006 all summer in upper 80's / low 90's with high
humidity. It was good in that the runs I've done since Chicago 2007 have
included plenty of water/gatorade.
I agree with the weather not being an issue. The first year I ran Disney it
topped out at 79 degrees, but normally it's in the 60's down here in January
with lows overnight in the 40's.
As for training... I'm doing the Sarasota marathon in March so I'm only
averaging 30 mile weeks for now.

I used the Higdon plan last year. It worked for me, but everyone
isdifferent. Unless there's a fluke of nature as there was at Chicago last
year, I don'tthink you have to worry about 88 degrees at 6 am in Orlando.
But I guessyou never know. There are some hills at Disney, but most are the
bridges over the highways.I'd say it was flat. Some stretches are very
flat.Last January there was plenty of water and Powerade available.
Maybebecause of the problems in Chicago. I like to think it was because
theywere better prepared.Plenty of snacks along the way.MikeGeneva, IL_____
