Hi Scott,
My wife and I did the 13K last year. Even though it was run by EMMI(who does
all of Disney races) it was unorganized. They had kept changing if they had
transportation to the race, where the expo was, cash registers not working
when expo opened(late too). The race start was delayed 30 minutes. By the
time I finished, grabbed some water and talked to friends, the party had
only 15 minutes left. I grabbed a $7 can of beer and walked by the area to
hear the band(which was long gone). We decided just to leave. Did no rides.
They have officially move the start back to 10 pm(which is when we started
last year) and extended the "party 1 hour. They reduced the pace requirement
to 16 min and removed the 6.5K.
The course wasn't bad but heard complaints about some "trail" running on the
dirt road that had potholes filled with water from the rain earlier in the
day. It was really humid. There were no characters on the course or parks.
We aren't doing the race this year as it wasn't worth the money last year
and they raised the price $25. $170 for a little for than a 10K is too much.
We will be at Disney during the race but be using the money for Food and
Wine.
I have pics on my website that you can check out the course.

Subject: TP-Disney Question about Tower of Terror 13K
Hi everybody,
Does anyone have first, or secondhand info about last year's Tower of
Terror 13K at at Disney's MGM Studios? I was training to walk it last year,
but fell and tore my quadricep tendon clean off my kneecap and needed two
surgeries, and rehab over a six month period to get back to where I could
start fitness walking again. I'm looking at going for it again this year.
I'm also interested to know how good or bad the 'post-race party' was. Any
info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
