Col, I too miss the chatter on this site.
I wouldn't be too quick to be awed by my achievement-----my total time
was 1:16:32. Swim was 9:33, bike was 31:26 (looking at the pictures
it looked like I was out for a leisurely Sunday bike ride---the
rolling hills KILLED) & run time was a disaster, 2miles in 29:12.
Really, I should
have done better but my legs were screaming NO NO! Oh well, there is
always my next tri in August-----remember how I said that I would
never run another marathon?---well, I said the same thing right after
the tri and her I sit, saying I'll give it one more try.
As for Disney races---in Sept. my son and I will be running Everest
Challenge---it's only a 5k but it sounds interesting. Then in Jan. I am
registered for the Goofy AND the 5K -----What is wrong with my head?
There is a new run in March---the Princess 1/2 ----so, I have to run
that.
I will taking my then 8 year old great niece and we will be running
the 5K the day before....she is truly a little princess but I am not
biased.
My grandson will be running our local Boilermaker 15K with me or
rather I should say ahead of me on July 13 and then we will running the
Virginia Beach 1/2 at he end of Sept and then it will be back to
school for him and cross country will start again.
We just had to put my mom in an nursing home and my heart is breaking.
I know that it is the best place for her but the quilt feelings are
doing a number on my health. If I thought my stress level was high
before....it's much higher now but I'm sure eventually I will come to
terms with
my decision....I have to.
How's your family doing----i am so bad with names Ryan (?) and I
should remember your daughter's name. What are they up to and how old
are they now?
Hey buddy, I hope to see you sometime soon....somewhere.
Glad to hear that you are still running but sorry to hear that you
still have those ITB issues.
You take care!
Your much OLDER running friend Daria
