Hi Kris - you may want to check out John Bingham's book "Marathoning
for Mortals" The marathon training plans in it are 20 weeks long, so
it will work for the Disney. I love these plans because they are
nice blend of running (or walking if you're like me:) and cross
training. You have one day a week for a "long" endurance run, but
the rest of the week requires a top time committment of 60 minutes
per session - perfect if real life wants to keep getting in the way
of training.

if it is too late for me to start training for a marathon. I have
never run anything longer than a 5k before and my last race was a
couple years ago. I have just started back running about 3 weeks ago
and I have worked my way up to running 3 miles 3-4 times a week with
cross training at the gym 2-3 times a week. My time for the 3 miles
is about 30-35 minutes. Can I really be ready for a marathon by
January or should I just shoot for the half? Thanks in advance for
any advice. If anyone needs tips on Disney just let me know. I have
been there twice this year already. I grew up in S. Florida and used
to skip school to go to EPCOT :0) I have been there many times over
the years. Planning another trip in Sept.!
