Description
Welcome to Team Penguin-Disney! A subgroup of the waddling "Penguin Brigade" founded by Runner's World columnist John Bingham, we are a friendly group of non-competitive joggers and walkers who participate in the official Walt Disney World Marathon and Half-Marathon, held in Orlando every January. If you are training for the Disney Marathon, join our group for some friendly support, discussion, and chatter.
Registration for the January event becomes available the day after the race, on Mondays. Please follow the links above for more information and online registration.
Want to participate in "the Big List" of the Penguin Brigade? Go to the Penguin Runners Yahoo Groups page or send email to PenguinRunners-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Be aware that the big list gets a lot of traffic (500-1200 a month). As a Yahoo Group, however, you can subscribe with just a daily digest.

Mark, Nancy is right. The Goofy isn't a relay. You do get a bracelet at packet pickup(non removable) which you wear during the half and it gets cut off you

I don't know if they make DNF numbers available or not in the results, but I'd guess not. I think most of races in general get about 15% no shows on race day,

He's home
He's home! He left Afghanistan on the 9th, arrived home (Florida) today. Don't know when we'll get to see him, but we are so relieved to have him set foot
