It has changed from a ride to just a meeting !<br>Location : Star Pizza near
Memorial <br>Date: 19th<br>Time: 3:00 pm<br>Some people may ride after the
meeting.
We'd like to thank all of our
sponsors!<br><br>Kay Derry, Sue Leanox, RHDC, Allstate Insurance Agent
Manny Contreras, Stuart Family Dentistry, Wilson &
Associates, TxDOT, Attorney John Delvin, Mr. Detail, Grupo
Taca and Glen McDowell<br><br>So far we've raised
$2100!<br>Thanks for all your help.
We need to get a group out this Saturday or
Sunday at 8:00 a.m. We typically return by 11:00 a.m. If
anybody has phone numbers, please forward over our direct
email address. Maybe a few of our MS 150 participants
need a little persuasion from the "CLEANER".
Take a look at the T-shirt graphics in
the<br>"photos" section. Michael and the "T-shirt/Graphics
comm.<br>took our input and did a great job. Let us know
what<br>you think. These graphics do include the "logo".<br>
<br>The logo will be included on the jersey, but
much<br>decreased in size and located approx. upper left side of
the chest. The main graphics will be
"Team<br>C.U.R.E." across the front with a little action to it. On
the back of the jerseys we may add "CYCLISTS' UNITED
RIDE EFFORT" at the top in smaller text and at the
bottom we may add "...DIG DEEPER !", just above the
pockets. This will kind of frame the Ride "number sheet"
and also help us determine our riders from behind and
maybe help keep me motivated when I'm behind you
!!!!<br><br>Sponsors logos will be added to the back of the t-shirts
but not the jerseys.
We are looking for volunteers to participate in
the ribbon signing activity, which will be held at
the Lone Star Chapter's "Valentine Luncheon". This
event will be held in Houston Saturday Feb 12th and
will begin at 11:00am. <br><br>More details will
follow. We will only need to be there for a short while.
The luncheon is dress- casual.<br><br>Please
reply!!!<br><br>Thanks !!
We are planning to get the team together. We need
<br>everyone to pick the 2 best weekends in Feb and March.
From these choices we will try to get ma many riders
together as possible. SO LET US KNOW !!<br><br>Thanks

What Choices do we have?<br>If we do not have a
specific selection and you are taking random request, then
I do have a recommendation. Grab a can of Mountain
Dew and imagine the same exact colors & pattern on
the can with our team logo in center. Or, we can just
use "C.U.R.E." in place of our logo.<br><br>If you
are looking at standard colors, then I would request
Yellow.
To tell if a chain has become worn and stretched
enough to require replacement, measure it with a
foot-long ruler. Put the first mark on the center of any
rivet, then look at the 12-inch mark. On a new chain it
will also be on the center of a rivet. On a worn one,
it will fall an eighth of an inch or more short of a
rivet.<br><BICYCLING .MAG>

If your triceps muscles become sore it may mean your stem is too long.
Conversly, if it's too short your shoulder mescles will bother
you.<br><br>----Bicycling Magazine

KNEES - If you suffer from chondromalacia (a
degeneration of the cartilage under the knee cap), cycling
should help, not hurt, as long as you (1) adjust the
saddle so your knee remains only slightly bent at the
bottom of the pedal stroke, and (2) avoid big gears and
long, steady climbs whenevr possible. The key is to
spin in moderate gears.<br>(Bicycling Magazine)
