Please get back directly to me if you can be a carpool DRIVER or carpool RIDER, and if you are a DRIVER, please let me know how many bikes you can take down to Saratoga for March 8th's Argonaut Death Ride with my ACTC mates. We need to BE ROLLING from Alameda at 8am, so if you a RIDER, you need to get down to Kaiser at about 7:45 so you can get loaded up on a car.
Not to under- or over-sell this ride, but it features very difficult and long and steep climbs, so if you have been riding with Brian and Jim on their MoFo climbing rides, join us to test your early season fitness on some longer climbs. Featured climbs include:

- Montebello: 5.3 miles, 10 - 12% steady grades, about 2000 feet of climbing, figure 45 - 60 minutes to summit,
- Redwood Gulch: 1.3 miles, very steep pitches, about 500 feet of climbing, 15 - 30 minutes to summit,
- Highway 9 (Saratoga to Skyline): 7.3 miles, 6 - 8% steady climb, 2000 feet of climbing, 60 - 75 minutes to summit,
- Bohlman: 4.3 miles, the MoFo of them all, very very steep pitches, 2000 feet of climbing, 60 - 75 minutes to summit.
- Sanborn (optional): 1.5 miles, two steep "steps," about 500 feet of climbing, 15 - 25 minutes of climbing.

Monday/Thursday Season, your esteemed ride leader would like to host a
�Death Ride� of his own by hitting the toughest goats in ONE DAY that
we climb all through the season. If you�ve been keeping up your winter
training, you should be strong enough to take our tour. Meet and be
ready to roll at 9am at the Argonaut Shopping Center on
Sunnyvale-Saratoga road east side just south of Pierce in Saratoga.
Park at Mountain Mike�s Pizza. Numerous bail-out points for shorter
