Re: Season Wrap Up

I had a great first season and am absolutely hooked! I did 8 tris in
all (7 sprint and 1 Olympic). The biggest thing that was hard for me
was keeping up my training once I lost my training group. I was with
TNT Feb-July and then continued to train and race on my own through mid-
Sept. Looking back at all my races, my run times consistently slowed
after I started training on my own. Got some work to do there if
anyone has suggestions :)

PLUS my big news is that my friend and I have decided to tackle the
Chisago 1/2 Iron next year! I probably won't be making any spectacular
speeds but I just want to finish strong. I'm excited :)

Anyone know of or work with any off-season training groups that they
enjoy?

~Kris

A lot of people use masters swim sessions to work on their swimming. These are large, generally coached sessions. The coaching is not going to be the same...

Hi Jim, I would also recommend the Masters Swim group. I actually swim with the Hopkins Masters 2-3x per week at 5:45am. There is also a 6:45am group. It...

I've had a good experience taking private lessons with the Blaisdell YMCA swim coach. It's $25 a session and well worth it. Now that my form is better, my...
