I really wish I would have trained better, especially the swimming and the running. Things started clicking on my last tri (Brewhouse)!
I can't wait for my second season. I'm going to do Grandma's Marathon (my first marathon....hopefully my knees hold up!), the MS 150 again, hopefully Minneman again, and hopefully do my first oly (probably Turtleman).

Now that there's a little bit of distance after the end of the local tri
season, I'm interested in hearing how things went for everyone. How
many times did you race? What went well for you? What didn't? What
was your best performance/event/moment, and what surprised you the most?
For me, I had 5 tris this season, starting w/ Liberty 1/2 in early June,
ending at Turtleman in August. It honestly was not a great season for
me ... with a new baby in the house, I just didn't get enough real
distance in, and I could feel the lack in each race. I had the most fun
at Heart of Lakes, particularly enjoying the new bike course. My
biggest surprise was the number of events where the swim wasn't wetsuit
legal (3 of the 5) and how big a difference that made in my swim
performance.
How did things go for you?
