Try to get a recovery drink (examples are Accelerade and EnduroxR4)
into your system as soon as possible after the
race, and ice anything sore/tender. You may want to stand in the lake
where the swim was held to cool down your legs.
Day off after the race, is a recovery (rest)
day. Again, Ice anything sore.
Go light the next day, then have yourself
a couple days of good workouts before backing off before your next race.

I have some triathlons on back to back weekends. My
first set is 2
weekends of sprint distances followed by an Olympic distance. I'm a
rookie this year too :)
What do you recommend for training/recovery in between?
