We’ve got a lot of quiet people out there, and that
won’t do. It was above 60F during my drive home today, and when the
weather gets warm, I stop thinking about my plans for the upcoming
season.
This year, I’m signed up for:
Liberty Half
LakeWaconia
Heart of Lakes Long(er)
I’m also planning on getting one or two Olympic-esq
races in, and at least one other Half (most likely ChisagoLakes and maybeSquareLake… I need to
gage both my recovery and my wallet).
I’m on pace to be only somewhat under-trained for
Liberty this year (rather than “severely” like I was last), and I
hope to pull as much as 40 minutes off of last year’s benchmark, though I’ll
be happy with 20.
I can’t be the only one who has signed up for a few
events and is making plans. What are you doing, what are you planning,
what are your goals? Anything you’re really proud of, worried or

Candice, You may want to sign up for Turtleman, (turtleman.org) in early August. It's a quasi-Olympic distance race, but is probably the flattest course in MN....
