****This is repeat announcement. If you've already responded, there's no need to do so again*****
Hi all,
It's time to start planning the spring camp (OK, it's probably past time, but this is when it _is_ starting). For those who are unfamiliar, this event is a central part of TC Tri, and has helped a lot of people get started in triathlon over the years. It's aimed at new or relatively inexperienced triathletes, though all are welcome. We do a one-day crash course which includes a lot of instruction and (typically) a coached swim session. In the past, the event has been free to members. As we're looking at membership being free from now on, there will be a fee this year to cover our costs in producing the camp ($25 or $30). Experienced folks who are helping out are, of course, not charged.
I need to know how many people are interested in attending, to get an idea of what I have to get together for the camp to run well. So, if you'd like to attend, please respond either on or off list to let me know.
We need to select a date as well. Sundays make our facilities issues easiest, so the options out there are April 22, April 29, May 6 or May 13. If anyone has any strong preference for or against any of those (and you're interested in attending), let me know what dates work best for you. I'll do my best to accommodate the greatest number of attendees.
We also need to start discussing the syllabus for the day, as there are a lot of topics we could cover – many more than there is time to address. If you have particular requests, let me know. Otherwise, as the schedule firms up, I'll start floating possibilities to the group.
Thanks, everyone. I look forward to hearing what interests you this year.
