We're doing something very different this year.  the shirts will be identical, as we already have a ton of them.  (A number of us aren't wild about the black either... We have, however, a couple of year's supply, and aren't in a position to discard what we have.

That said, there will be HUGE CHANGES in TC Tri swag and race wear.  Our relationship w/ Erik's bike shop is growing stronger and closer, and as their offerings evolve, we're getting access to some custom dye-sublimation printing services.  We're still sorting out the details, but the basic rundown is this:  There will be an official TC Tri race singlet custom printed for us.  Any member wanting one can purchase at a discount price, but we're only going to be able to do a couple of group buys a year, to control printing costs.  Erik's will be subsidizing some of the purchase price, through either direct contribution or discounts better than we could negotiate ourselves.  The ballpark cost I've heard so far is something like $45, but that is NOT FINALIZED, so please don't quote me.

Buying and wearing the singlet will not be required of club members.  However, it will be required if members intend to participate in Erik's pay-to-race programs.  For those new folks out there, Erik's provides club members store discounts, but also store gift certificates.  Simply race a certain number of times, get a certain amount of purchasing power.  Achieve an age-group or overall placement, get a certain amount of purchasing power.  This has been an extremely valuable program to our members to the tune of thousands of dollars last year, but we weren't holding up our end in doing enough to show _our_ support for Erik's.  So, their logo features prominently in the design.

I don't want to send out a picture of the singlet design yet, as it hasn't gotten an official okey-dokey from Erik's, but here's what I can tell you.  Colors are the historical red, white, and black, keeping with our original color scheme.  Singlet is predominatly white, for heat management.  Strategic bands of color are used on the mostly white singlet to afford appropriate modesty.  The only names on the singlets will be Erik's and TC Tri.  They are very nice looking, very distinctive to give us a unique and easily identified look, and should be quite comfortable to race in -- I have a tendency to race very hot, so I was careful in this respect.

As soon as I get the go-ahead, I'll post a picture of the singlets.
