Thanks for all info. I have a list of races I want to compete in
(May 21 – Albert Lea, June 25 – North Mankato, July 8 – Elysian,
August 27 – Baxter, and finish the season September 2 in Hudson).
My strong areas are running and biking. Due the fact that I had 3
shoulder surgeries I'm trying to just survive the swim and get to
the other two. I know vary little about training for swimming –
other than trying not to drown. Is there a book you would recommend
that I read or any workouts that you know helped you get ready.
I'm like most of us and am a competitor. To say that I just want to
finish doesn't cut it for me. I want to do well like everyone. I'm
not afraid to put in the time or feel sore – I just don't know what
to do to train properly.
Thanks for all your help. I'm sure I will be picking your brains
more!!

right know is lay those out, and just put the work in starting
immediately. I would recommend above average weight training at
