Hello all,
If you were in the Forest Saturday, you were part of 155 runners and
at least 50 walkers...Deb Mattingly and her crew put on a great
race...Some of you went to Huntington for the Alumni Race and it
looked like a good crowd there too...I promised everyone in the Forest
an app to the Winter Series...I have that and a bonus...George
Aulenbacher just gave me his Turkey trot app hot off the press...The
Turkey Trot will be Thanksgiving Morning in the Forest on the fast 5K
there...You can get in a 5K run or 2 mile walk and then belly up to
the feast to replenish calories lost and watch a little football after
with no guilt...1st Winter Series Race is Sunday afternoon Dec
16th...Kanawha Valley Community Center...We added a non-competitive
walk event to this series so everyone can stay motivated for the
winter...Sign up and finish all 3 events for a Hoody...Marshall
Marathon and 1/2 are Sunday, great event with a stadium

Hash run this week is on Wednesday due to Spook Nite in the KV on
Tuesday...Me and NNBarrie will be co-hares...Hares away at 6 pm and
pack chases at 6:15...Start at Magic Island under the Interstate
Bridge...True trail approx 4 miles...Circle after and The Grill for
sustenance...2.00 for chalk fund...If ya haven't tried one, I promise
you should have fun in a noncompetitive event to get in a good
workout...All running levels welcome...Details about Hash Runs can be

Finally, we are still logging miles up Alpha on Thursday
Nights...Leave from the bench in front of Riggleman Hall at UC at the
5 pm bell...Park behind the Pharmacy building...There ya have it
gang...If you decide to show up for any of these events...Please bring
a friend, because the more the merrier or misery loves company,
