Weapon refers to any instrument of offense or defense. Your hands and your foot when used for this purpose is considered a weapon. A sword, a stick or any other "weapons" is merely an extension of your body as what martial artist should perceive. The effectvity of using your weapon rely on the coordination of your muscles and your brain. The transmission of signal from the brain and your muscle determines this coordination.

There is this irony that you're using your brain but your not actually thinking. Movements are somewhat instinctual but controlled. You are not moving but rather you are the movement. There is oneness on the action. This is what harmony is all about. This transmission of signal is electrical by nature and electricity is a type of energy. Energy that can be harnessed and used to magnify your weapon. The essence that is more than just moving with the weapon but also being one with the weapon.
