The appropriate shoes are those that are flat at the bottom. Even slippers
would be fine as long as it doesn't slide on the floor. When you do
serious zhan zhuang like an hour to three hours, you will see how
important are correct shoes/slippers.

Wala akong special na gamit na shoes na pang tai-chi. Ordinary rubber shoes ang gamit ko, pero hindi naman masyadong makapal.:-) So, kelan ang free time mo?...

Irene is correct, the shoes should be snug fit. But base on my experience, I practice Tai Chi routine on all surface condition: grass, concrete, dirt, sand....

for taichi, irene is right but you don't need to buy expensive shoes. as long as it meets your needs. for me i still prefer bare feet as it does add more...
