Sifu Roh Mih
How are you? Some where along the line,, I had picked up the habit. of bringing my arm down (the arm that is extended in with palm open over the pushing leg) during the transition i was bringing this arm down in front of my body,,instead of up and down to my shoulder and across during the transition.. am I explaining this well enough?? Hard for me to describe , wish I could show it.. but anyway,,I got it right now,
I dont know where I picked up that habit,, im thinking I took it from one of my Karate Kata, that I have been working on..

Hi, Mike! Thanks for this sharing. I'm curious-- why were you advised to work on brush knee? What was the problem?-- roh mih

for quite a while,,and then some pole sitting,,it was definitly a good
work out. Afterwards we did 24 form. Sifu said I needed to work on my
brush knee ,,so over to the side I went and worked on Brush knee twist
step for quite a awhile..I always enjoy the Tai Ji Sessions. My Sifu
is a 40 year plus?? Lady from Taiwan, very old school in her training
methods, she beleives in strong basics..very much the way Ive been
trained in my Karate,,for me the old school ways are what keeps me
doing these martial arts,, always trying to improve on basic movement.
Anyways, the training in Tai Ji Quan certainly has helped me
understand my Karate much better, so many of the movements , especially
in the transitions from one step to another pulls out that
understanding of the movements in Kata of karate.
