I was thinking of painting a Toulouse, but what color bases? The
team colors are purple and silver...neither color is available in
anything cheap.

Hi Ben,
I can't make any hockey figures, but I'd LOVE a shot at playing
flick hockey. I was thinking of a Subbuteo ice hockey game played
on plexiglas.

No ad. That was in the days of the old ad...stadzuiden Rotterdam.
Feyenoord away?
Don't have one.
I'll be switching to Toulouse home pretty soon for a little while.
Might do Chicago Fire after that.

I think every pitch has metal goals, plus we have Luis and Frank.

Astropitch or Woodentop or similar, laid on a good surface, with
edging to spec (approx 1.5" high, approx 6-9" gap behind the goals,
etc.) - check the FISTF rulebook. You may have found it useful a few
weeks ago ;oP

If you read back a little, I am asking for the count on FISTF-
standard pitches in the ASA, not World Cup standard. It is for
logistic calculations relating to ASA Majors and FISTF events. And
part of some demographic information to be displayed on the new ASA
site. All input is still requested regardless of your stance on the
World Cup issue. I am still missing some quite large leagues. Every
league is requested to reply.

I can guarantee you that none of the pitches in the ASA are FISTF
world cup quality. Maybe some of the pitches themselves may be, but
we would have to build exact replica tables and lay all very nice
and worn in (all same brand might I add, most likely Subbuteo
Astropitch) pitches on all of these tables. This alone would take
lots of members, lots of time and lots of money. This is a nice
thread but in the end really it is pointless...

Nah, we'll leave it up to the TV networks to leak the (wrong) result
before everyone knows it...
Can't vote but I wish I could in this one...

PS Let's keep actual political debate off the list. If it's as tight
as they predict, it could be messy.
Vote for whomever you want, just go vote. (those who can)

I think,
group of 5
1v5, 2v3 / 2v4, 3v5 / 1v4, 2v5 / 1v3, 4v5 / 1v2, 3v4
group of 7
1v7,2v6,4v5 / 2v3,1v4,5v6 / 2v4,3v6,5v7 / 1v3,2v7,4v6
1v5,3v6,4v7 / 1v4,2v5,3v4 / 1v2,3v5,6v7
well sounds good to me anyway!
OK, there may be a situation where groups of 5 or 7 play this weekend. Does
anyone have a list of how the fixtures (1 v 2, 3v 5 etc) would work for all to
play each other? Obviously one player would sit out eachround of play.
Paul

Sorry Frank.
This was big news about the tournament this weekend as well and events
planned around the massive event.

Coming up fast! Check the latest registered numbers on the link:
http://subbuteousa.com/2004MLSCupandHolidaySilverNovember67.html
If you want to be added or removed please let me know NOW!. Groups for
Saturday will be drawn Friday night at my house in the Shrine at 9PM. All
competitors are welcome to come to my place for the draw and a beer or two!
ASA rankings from the recently completed season will be used to base
rankings, every effort will be made to have groups of 6 or so (depends on
numbers) so that those travelling from afar are guaranteed as much play as
possible. My address:
Paul Eyes
5471 Watercress Place
Columbia
Maryland 21045
home phone 410-964-8184
The draw for Sunday will take place on Saturday afternoon.
fees for both days are $1 each day of competition. Players playing their first
ASA event are exempt from a fee for the first tournament
$3 for lunch both days (combined) - will be sandwich wraps. If not you are on
your own. The school is not in walking distance of fast food, you would have
to drive...
be on time - 9am each morning.
*We are playing in the school cafeteria this time. The front of the school may
not be open. As you approach the school take the small service road on the
left and follow all the way around to the dumpsters at the back of the building,
there is parking, and you enter via blue double doors. I will put out a sign.*
Saturday night entertainment: See Ed Morgans if you want to go in a group to
watch DC United palay the Revolution. I will probably go for a beer/dinner at
the local Barebones restaurant - you are welcome to join me, I hope we can
get a group together for that so let me know if you want to do that. All are
also
welcome to stop by my house Saturday night.
That is it for now. Again, most important is letting me know asap if you want to
be added or removed from the player list. Also, please let me know if you want
to come to my house Friday night for the draw, feel free to bring a beer!
Paul
