Men's finish: Pinto comes home to 2:06:35 - the fifth fastest time in
marathon history, a European best and a course record by well over a minute.
Last year's winner El Mouaziz is also inside the old course record at
2:07:34.
World best holder, Khannouchi, is third in 2:08:37 - his slowest time in all
his four marathons.
The first British finisher in eleventh was debutant Mark Steinle, who gains
automatic selection for Sydney with 2:11:20.
Other placings: 4 Kiplagat 2:09:09, 5 Ramaala, 6 Baldini, 7 Korir, 8
Thugwane (Olympic champion qualifies for Sydney), 9 Nazipov 2:10:42, 10
Goffi, 11 Steinle, 12 Thys.
Women's finish: Loroupe crosses line in 2:24:33 (outside course record) and
was followed by Simon (2:24:50). Others finish in this order: Chepchumba,
third, 2:25:00. Fernandez, McCann (2:26:00), Tulu, Guida, Morgunova,
Machado.
