To answer your question, only field soldiers are given Krav maga
lessons and withing this classification you have different levels of
training to correlate the chances an operative will have to use hand
to hand techniques rather than firearms. This is the same modus
operandi as in the UK armed forces but I have little knowledge of the
US army as far as MA courses. I recommend reading the Applegate book
which has been fundamental in the modern western MA development. I
will post a short part of it to the group and you will see for
yourself.
Capoera is a martial art but since it evolved in an urban settings it
gears toward singular confrontations and allows for great efforts
which would render you exhausted and dead in a long fight. The real
art as it is taught in Brazil has a very unique movement method and a
lot of fine ways to improve your conditioning and balance. I would
not recommend it if you had to learn just one art but it is a nice
addition to complement other styles.
