Re: [systema_group] Re: New to the group

Greetings,

Since this seems to be the thread of the moment and my intro is
relevent, i just thought I would post mine along with Bills
interesting intro.

I am also from Ohio, a bit NE of Bill, I live in Kinsman which is
fairly close to the PA border. I have a long standing interest in RMA
and have just recently begun trying to start up a study group here at
my training facility.

I am 40 years old and have been training in the arts in one form or
another since I was 16. Just a little shy of 10 years ago my focus
began to shift in the direction of European martial traditions. I run
a group on Sunday afternoons devoted to this concept. We study various
forms of wrestling, bareknuckle boxing and several weapons....Spanish
navaja and American Bowie, Irish shillelagh, Fencing from basket
hilted broadsowrds and single sticks to epee and rapier.

A few weeks ago we had a RMA instructor out for a seminar held here
and he was kind enough to stay after and the next day to give us some
insight into his art....very interesting to say the least.
