No this isn't on anymore. Your about a year late...

You need to go to Lawnton on Monday nights. The details are on www.systemaaustralia.com website. Or check out http://completestrength.110mb.com and speak to Azza and go to VFC.

Feel free to give me a call 0433707911. I live right near the RBWH just north of the city/valley. We can catch up and do basic training. I can show you drills, excercises and conditioning/breathing stuff. I have heaps of DVD's. I work 9-5-m-f but other than that I'm free.

Cheers,

Hi guys!

The last hour of the workshop is going to be a bunch of "games" and
drills that will gradually ramp up. So, please can you bring whatever
pads etc you have (e.g. mouth guard, groin guard, gloves, head gear
etc). We will have some stuff there but the more the better.

Also, please can you drop me a line if you will be attending.

I am planning a mid -> late July 5 hour workshop revisiting the Systema fundamentals. My focus will be revisiting the fundamentals from both Dave Merrell and Kevin Secours' visits.

TOPICS:

  • push drills

  • punching
  • kicking
  • ground flow drills

Let me know if  people are interested, and if there are any special requests for topics. I will be conferring with family about dates and posting them soon.

Stay tuned!

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone can give me a heads up as to whether there
are any seminars/workshops happening later this year.

Will be popping over from NZ in November/December and would like to
do some training. Will be in the Sydney area but willing to travel
if necessary.

Also, who can I contact in Sydney for training while I'm there.

Represent a small group training in Auckland, NZ. We are working on
basic skills and conditioning. We are looking to do what we can to
further our studies.

Any help would greatly appreciated.

I strongly advise the "fundamentals" DVD set. it covers the basics of what systema is all about. Ask for Aaron (http://completestrength.info) to get you a DVD as he is a reseller and does good prices.I also recommend the knife defense DVD.

I hope to see you in Brisbane soon for a training session

Is there a particular starting point for a beginner?
Any recommended material I should read or see?

All advice appreciated.

Thanks.

All over the internet, there is constant buzz about different self
defense systems. Its present in every forum, and every community that
you can picture. People ask themselves... Is it really true? Can I
learn to be a ball-busting super commando in just three short days?
Super mystery special ops guy tells me that I can.
And so every day, countless people fork over upwards to $200 for this
piece of this state-of-the-art top secret info. Every day people get
these courses in the mail and every day they are convinced that they
have what they need. Unfortunately, some of these people find out to-
little-to-late that they need more than just a DVD to teach them
correct self defense.
There is an ongoing debate about the validity of seminars and
fighting instructional DVDs. There are a lot of people out there who
would tell you that in three days you can learn how to defend
yourself effectively on the street, when that cannot be further from
the truth.
Now, dont get me wrong, I am by no means stating the fighting
instructional DVDs and seminars are not excellent tools to use when
learning self defense. In fact, I believe that they are excellent
tools, but they are by no means the whole enchilada. Self Defense
DVDs should be used in conjunction instruction from a teacher from a
real school. Now, there are several reasons why this is important....

Jen and I have moved (for the last time for at least 1.5 years) - as Jen was offered a great job here in Toowoomba. Sadly my mobile phone is broken - but you can contact me on the phone number at the bottom of this page.

Michael Conroy from Byron Bay also recently moved here and we are launching classes/study group here (details below). Cost will be $7 (as normal). We will also be available for training on weekends in the park - and I am available for one-on-one or small group sessions during the day on Thurs and Friday.

I hope to see some of you guys here soon, and I will also endeavour to get back to brisbane in the near future for another workshop.
