I had a quick look at the map and tried and failed miserably to plot
something on bikely.
That aside, and not knowning the area too well having only ever cycled
through there briefly on the two week Big Ride from Tweed Heads to Sydney
back in, I think, 2001. How about something that loops east to the coast
(Balina), then northwards through Byron and then maybe up to Murwillumbah.
Then maybe head further north to cross the border and loop around through
Beauesert and down through Woodenborg and back towards Lismore. Maybe a bit
too far. Or do Murwillumbah then head west to Kyogle and do something from
there (Woodenborg loop?). There are quire a few National Parks on Google
maps and as you zoom in, lots more little roads but wether they're dirt or
not I don't know.
Could we even get out as far as Tenterfield. A quick google maps shows a
loop Lismore, Casino, Tenterfield, Stanthorpe, Woodenborg, Kyogle and
Lismore running at 420km. Plenty of scope there for detours and a rest day.
Worth some thoughts.
