Even more of a catch 22, I doubt we'd be able to book campgrounds for
such a number in January.... wherever, but particularly Tasmania. All
reasons why I started thinking April school holidays, but then you have
to start worrying about it being too cold! (eg. last year's NSW escapade
- I really don't want to do frost!) - or too wet! (like now! - god it's
bucketing down as I type... the amount of water that's fallen from the
sky around here the past few weeks is beyond ridiculous now...)

Probably mid-term is the most logical. Are we the only ones with a
school time problem? If so I think that you guys shouldn't be hamstrung
by our Year 12 issues. We would have the option of going without
Caitlin perhaps... (don't know how she'd go looking after herself for a
week, can't trust her to go to bed at a sensible time for one night!)...
or maybe she might be able to get away with one week off. Certainly
she couldn't do two weeks (which is what it took us with Tassie...) So
from that perspective, something not too far from home is better for us.
Might get her to have a chat to her year advisor when she goes back to
school...

Last time we saw Martin & Di a few weeks ago Martin was suggesting some
sort of loop near Armidale - starting from a mate's property near Uralla
where we could leave cars etc. He proposed a short day to Armidale,
then heading north, then west... and I'm not really sure of the rest.. I
did have a muck around on bikely, but I wasn't too sure...

I was thinking South Coast at one point, and, again, mucking around with
routes and distances starting from near Braidwood. .. but I kept
striking too much Princes Hwy for my liking.

Should get hold of that Lonely Planet Cycling Australia book (just
borrowed it from library last time...).. anyone got that?
