RE: [sydneytandems] Re: Stuff.

Hi Marc

This will be a first for us as well. The last time I was riding over 200km a day was way back in '89. That was a long time ago and we haven't done anything longer than 100kms a day since 2005. I am hoping to do some longer rides before we go but.....
We will be flying down on the Friday and staying at the Mantra on Jolimont which is close to loads of good restaurants and the start. I need about 2-3 hrs to put the bike together.
Another friend of ours will be doing the ride as well. We have been doing buggerall training for the ride as I've been helping out with the "slowies" at the back of our pack. Marian has just done the full ride to waterfall last Sunday which is the longest ever ride that she has done by herself.
I think we'll be riding around the 28-30km/hr depending on the wind. I am more interested in finishing than setting a great time.
We are staying until Thursday I think so Marian has enough time to do some retail therapy.

It would be great to catch up. I'll send you my mobile number to your icq email address so you can contact us when you get there.

Cheers

Geoff

Hey Geoff,

Tracey and I are signed up for the 210km Around the Bay in a Day ride
via Sorrento as well. No kids...just us on the Santana Sovereign.

It'd be good to meet up and perhaps ride some of the way together if
that works out. We've not done that ride before. You?

Marc
