See what you mean! Same applies for myself and Keira (under 10) vs. Damon
(10)! Guess they have to draw the line somewhere BUT it would seem to me
that the lower level should apply if you can't ride your own bike!
But then ... I just checked the terms and conditions and guess what Point 5,
"It is recommended that Children Under 10 travel on a bike with a parent or
guardian in a bike seat, trailer, tag-a-long or similar."
Recommended but not mandatory ... That's a change isn't it?
Having also read Geoffs e-mail; NZ is looking good! I did the Bike Vic NZ
ride a few ago; absolutely stunning scenery on the South Island around Mt
Cook (albeit a bit 'damp' on the west coats later in the ride). Would do
that again; no question about it. A Tandem would do it tough on the uphills
but easily make up for the pain on the downhills. That said, you'd need the
drum brake on!
Better get Damon to start saving is pocket money.

Subject: [sydneytandems] Big Ride Prices
I see that the Big Ride prices are up on the web site:
http://www.bv.com.au/great-rides/40355/
Caroline (under 10) is looking good value compared to Richard (10).
Note saving of up to $120 per rider by booking on line by Jan.
Note no saving for BNSW membership.
Cheers
Roger
