Subject: [sydneytandems] A question for Big Riders - Day 6
How do you interpret this:
"Day 6 starts out from Wingham Showground. A shuttle bus will be provided for all riders and their bikes up to Comboyne, where a breathtaking view awaits. Then all riders will join together for the 40km downhill ride to Wauchope making for a fast finish to the campsite and the home of Timbertown"
Marc and I are a bit perturbed by this. Now that they've changed their mind on charging for the shuttle bus, the wording seems to read that everyone has to catch the bus. Not sure if it's just their lousy expression (they don't have a good track record on their wording on the website!) but given that that particular section of dirt isn't mentioned in their latest advice on what kind of bike to ride, we're wondering if they are changing their mind on stuff as they go along.
As you can imagine Marc isn't too keen on the idea of missing a bit of the ride (and being short changed of 500km AND the challenge of riding Comboyne hill.) Nor does he want to be throwing the triplet on a truck! And I'm a bit the same on the distance thing - once I set out to do something I want to do the whole thing.
Thought before we tried to contact BNSW we'd ask for your (plural) learned opinions on it!
