Phew! what a busy week settling back into reality.
Sorry you had to leave early Ken, hope the boys werent too
disappointed and we hope your knee heals quickly.
It was a great ride for Kath and I, we had a blast. Meeting as many
people as possible, hanging with friends, checking out as many
tandems, tents and set-ups as possible.
We clocked 560k for the week, with a max of 76kph and several 70-
71kph early on. No major mechanicals, including no punctures- I had a
small smile every time i saw a single upside down. It must pay to
maintain your machine.( next year may be the opposite- hehe!)
We were lucky enough to get a lift home to Wollongong, as my van
burnt to the ground 5k north of Holbrook. We had been dropped off by
my dad and he was driving it to Binalong when it just caught fire.
Dad was fine, just shook up. The people of Holbrook who helped us
were absolutely fantastic, we couldnt thank them enough.
The long day, 99.4k by my computer, was pretty good for us. we had
decided that every official stop after lunch we would stop, revive
and go again- which we did.
For us it was a great week, thanks to all you who were friendly,
helpful and happy to meet us.
Will look forward to meeting you again soon, as long as we can
transport the tandem closer, to where you guys ride.
Happy tandeming to all. Catchya soon. Adrian

Uploaded a couple more Big Ride photos today; plus added pictures of #1 and #2 rig to the member tandem photos. #2 is a real bugger to keep under control....
